You can predict and prepare for possibilities

Fortunately, even though there are a lot of things which can come up in the world, the things which you actually need to do something about can be limited to:

Your Self:   These are your own personal responsibilities, for example: your health (physical and emotional), your safety, education, learning, skills, your pet…

If you can predict and prepare for possibilities, you can help things go well.  You can make a list of the things in your life to help you know what you need to do to handle them successfully.  With every issue in your life, there are different levels of how it could go.  These can range from you doing something that can hurt you (like smoking) to doing something that you keep getting better at (like being an athlete).
